Why us?

Our 2024 event saw 500 runners, their families and friends return with us to Cammas Hall on a glorious, sunny May Sunday morning. This year Cammas Hall has also put on a Craft Fair which was a resounding success for everyone visiting, significantly increasing the footfall and exposure.

This year we also received the Racecheck Gold Award for the third year running! The team at Racecheck independently collate 65,000  reviews from over 600 events across the world. In 2023 only 102 events received the Gold Award, so we feel extremely honoured to have reached that status. Without the help of our sponsors we certainly would not be able to put on the event that we do.

What’s the plan for 2025?

We are delighted to share that, once again, we are going to be returning to Cammas Hall for the 40th Stort10 race on Sunday, 18th of May 2025.

Our event is long established and well respected in the running community and we want to continue building on the success of our previous years. Therefore, our objectives for 2025 are very straight forward:

  1. Be good: We’ll continue doing what we’re good at: delivering a fantastic race experience! This year we’ll simply be making room for 20% more runners!
  2. Be greener: We will be showcasing our green roots as well as testing some greener alternatives this year to ensure we are doing our bit for the planet.
  3. Be social: Our brand carries great value and we will be using it to benefit our participants, stakeholders and the wider community. This objective extends to our social impact, do read on…

Where does your money go?

Your contribution will help us to put on a high-quality sporting event for all runners and their families. We pride ourselves on running on a very modest budget, giving our participants one of the best value for money races in the region.

We are supported by almost 100 volunteers from the local community in the run up to the race and most importantly on the day to provide a safe, fun experience for everyone. This year our approach to giving forward will be as follows:

  • Ten percent (10%) of our net profits will be directed to charities chosen by the winners of each category and race
  • The remainder of the profits will be split between the The President’s Sporting Club – a local charity which provides sporting facilities for disabled children throughout East Anglia and the Home Counties; and Bishop’s Stortford Running Club – helping the club continue providing services to the runners in the Bishop’s Stortford area.
